I'd love if they all read our board. Do we have a Marat haiku yet? Anyone?

Ironic emoticons, oops! And thanks for the Safin haiku, wrongami.
This thread has gotten so far into my subconscious. I'm doing a writing project with a couple friends for fun, and when I became uninspired, I sent them a haiku instead. I know, I'm pathetic. I blame the 100'F-plus heat.

If I didn't have to work today, I'd do a sonnet called "Ode to a Goblin-Faced Crapbag."
Maybe we could each do a line or two?
Or a limerick! Oh, like I can concentrate on work now. Crap.

There once was a goblin-faced crapbag Whose hair looked like that of an old hag. He's a prick and a pig; Justin's ego's too big, And he makes all the tennis fans gag.
(with credit to apocalipstick, of course.)

tikigirl love your limerick. I keep forgetting to check this forum. It's because I've got something roaming in my head that goes like...
"Friends, Romans and country men Lend me your ear. I come to bury Justin, not to praise him..." Stop me. Seriously.
On another note.
Clement and Schuettler. One in the semi finals. Who are they again?

How about a sonnet for Marat? I'll start (with most abject apologies to William Shakespeare).
=Ode to a Broodalicious Russian=
Shall I compare you to a thunderstorm? You are more fiery; more explosive too. Sultry and brooding in both face and form -- Broken hearts and racquets trail behind you.

That? Is totally awesome. He's such a Shakespearean character - and on the English lawn, no less.

Join in, oops, that was just the beginning! If I remember from my old college days, a (Shakespearean) sonnet goes in the form abab, cdcd, efef, gg. So there's more to write! Get cracking!
