All of the "Road to Roland Garros" interviews are on youtube now. For those that haven't checked them out I sincerely suggest you do. Things I have learned:
1. Davydenko is even more adorable than I thought 2. Tommy Robredo was named for the rock opera Tommy because his parents were big Who fans. 3. All of the men think Kirelenko is the prettiest female tennis player 4. Tursunov is a way, way, way bigger tool than I thought 5. Lapentti is just as gorgeous in the back of a cab as he is on the court and is very soft spoken. 6.. Tommy Haas is very polite and boring. 7. Robin Soderling seems nice in his interview but I'm not buying it because evil can wear many faces.

I can't cancel though I want to so badly Teki. We are heading to a place that I think does have Foxtel (Australian pay TV where the French is being televised) so I MAY be able to catch it, though I will be intoxicated and may throw things at the screen if Feds is loosing! We seriously need to get some drunken tennis games happening on here though... Speaking of which, I may just invite my mates around tonight for the women's final... every unforced error made WE MUST SHOT! HAHA We may need to have our stomarchs pumped then! Update: No one heading over tonight. So it'll be me and my beer and the computer. Bring on those winners/errors baby! Urgh I am so pumped for tomorrow. EDIT: LMAO *Dies of laughter. I have been reading some of the initial reactions to Feds win. I AM SO HAPPY I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE! OH MY GOSH! HAHA I felt all of what so many of you have felt. I was spent. I needed to start work at 9 and be up at 7.30 this morning so I went to bed at 2.30. Feds was two sets to one down. I was so mentally exhausted I needed sleep. AND I was pissed. I woke up and went straight to the computer... to find that he had won. I spent all day feeling slightly relieved and yet STILL anxious for him tomorrow. I can take away the fact that Fed didn't play bad but DP played AMAZING to get to where he did. But even so, Soderling has played just as well... things could get sticky. But tonight I WILL enjoy the women's final... HAHA it is so weird because I to have been obsessing over Feds chances. Can he/can Soderling? Dear lord this is sad. LMAO. PS. You guys don't realise just HOW you make tennis all that more enjoyable. I haven't felt the need to join any other tennis fan communities as I'm sure they will be riddled with immature fans bringing the enjoyment of the moment down (for any of the players, for whoever were to make any final.) Thanks again! ;D

An example of some of the other forums out there. REALLY makes you respect this place. tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=266012LMAO at that one fan calling Federer overrated. You in 123 majors, could possibly win all four majors and equal the all time record, hit 20 consecutive semi finals in a mojar and STILL get overrated. Boards can be BAD at the best of times. EDIT: Cut to an hour later and I am mortifed at how much hate there is on these boards. People saying Federer will never be the GOAT or that he has always been, or that Nadal is this and that this player is that... wow I spent over an hour of my night feeling like crap on these boards. These 12 year old (either literally or mentally) tools hating on champions. Boards really suck, papart from our uber cool world that is.

If you do find some decent and sane posters, feel free to try and poach them We might not go so quiet in the next weeks because Wimbledon is so close, but then it tends to go a bit quiet. And I want you all here and eager for the long promised GUESS THE TENNIS ASS Quiz!!* *It's actually more of a guess the body part quiz. It's actually harder than you'd think to guess identity from a butt!

Once I get home in about 20 minutes I'm going to kick back with vodka & tonic with ice and lemon. There are 4 rugby matches, the womens final AND the unseen Gonzo/Soderling semi to see today. So I don't think I should risk the UE drinking challenge, haha.

If you hold off until after the US Open I promise to take specific body-part pictures (specializing on butts) so you can have loads of shots to choose from.
btw: I'm so set for this match. Please be a good one. I like Sveta just fine but I'm rooting hard for Dinara. Oh goodness, don't remind me about the Myskina/Dementieva match--not a good way to get my hyped up for this one.

For some reason I thought the women's final was starting an hour later. I'm glad I was checking around. Safina looks wired.

Funny, because I trust NBC so little that I was afraid the match was starting an hour earlier than NBC going to the match--I went online at midnight last night just to confirm the start time.
Everyone look at Dinara when her ball toss is at its greatest height: that is the most perfect tennis picture ever. Perfect lines.

So far they're doing well--even with the traded breaks to start the match. Some really decent rallies. I hope they keep it up. (Ugh, as I say this, Dinara starts putting in the double faults.)
Right, admin? Here in the US, JMac started talking about that all-Russian final. Why even bring that horror up?
Hey, people at the side of Kuznetsova? You have third row seats. Stop reading the newspaper.

I'm starting to get a little bit nervous now. Safina is so far back, and she really needs to take control if she wants towin this match cleanly..

You know, i REALLY thought Dinara would win this. I didn't think for a moment that Kuzzy could actually win, even accounting for nerves. Now i'm worried that Dinara might not be able to win it.

Okay, the argument between Dinara and Zeljko is hysterical. I don't even think it's coaching--it's just yelling.

Oh, btw, breezybeeAll of the "Road to Roland Garros" interviews are on youtube now. For those that haven't checked them out I sincerely suggest you do. Things I have learned: 4. Tursunov is a way, way, way bigger tool than I thought What did Tursunov say in his interview? I've been less than enamored of him for a while. That whole blog thing was hilarious and awesome, but i don't know why or when, something has made me do a 180 on him. An example of some of the other forums out there. REALLY makes you respect this place. tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=266012LMAO at that one fan calling Federer overrated. Dudes, you all i know how much i loathe Feds, but DAMN. Even i can't call him overrated.

Oh dear. Dinara is looking so disheartened. Buck up! You're not a chicken, Dinara. She's making me cry.
