I leave for my two-week business trip tomorrow and I'm crossing my fingers I'll finally have access to ESPN3.com. The hotel has DirecTV (not all channels--just the "hotel package") so I'm hoping the broadband will show I can use the site. Of course I'll be working like a demon until next week so I don't know how much time I'll be able to go on. By the time I get a little free time it will be halfway through the 2nd week when the other courts don't have camera access.
Yeah! Feli just won. I can go over to the insanity that is Isner/Mahut.

I'm not a huge Roddick fan, but after last years final, he deserves a Centre Court match. 21-21 in the fifth and Venus served up a bagel in her first set.
Monfils. (I just did that very French shoulder shrug that only the French do well.)

No need to worry about Marakova, at least not yet. Venus is up 5-0. Damn, Monfils just had to lose that 3rd set tie-break. (Sigh) Hope he doesn't falter. Venus has had some fantastic returns. Hopefully she'll stay in control. Does anyone else think that Makarova looks like Steffi Graf? I think they've been alternating. One day one group gets Centre and the other gets #1, then the next time they play they switch.

Okay....now I have to go to lunch. I wonder if the Isner match will finish before I return...

I know I should be riveted by Mahut/Isner, but somehow I'm not. Poor Isner. He just bores me. And you know whoever wins this match is just fucked for the next one anyway, so how invested can anyone possibly get?
Mahut getting hit repeatedly is pretty funny, though. Yeah, I'm a bitch before noon. And often after noon as well.

Heeeeee. Everyone in my office is watching USA/Algeria and one of my co-workers couldn't find a feed that didn't keep freezing on him. I, of course, got him to a good one (atdhe.net for this one) and he was a good 30 seconds before anyone else and their little pissant stream. He got to celebrate first. . .
And I'm still on Isner/Mahut. The match that will last another day.

Oh my fucking god.
Brad Gilbert: "What do they say over here? Nil?"
Really, Brad? Never heard that word before? For fuck's sake...

Venus closed it out on Steffi Jr.'s serve after losing her break.

The winner of Isner/Mahut (currently 25-24 in 5th) plays the winner of Giraldo/De Bakker (currently 11-11 in 5th). So, they are equally screwed for the next match.
I tried watching Isner/Mahut, but it bored me witless. This is why they slowed down the courts from the ace-fest 90s.

Oh my fucking god. Brad Gilbert: "What do they say over here? Nil?" Really, Brad? Never heard that word before? For fuck's sake... Ahhh. Aggressive ignorance rides again. No Brad, not just "here", pretty much everywhere on the planet except your living room. Come outside once in a while.

Brad is an idiot.
This marathon match is putting me to sleep. Isner reminds me of an Ent.
I can't believe they put Novak on Centre and not Roger is what I should have said. Andy, Venus, and Roger would have worked pretty good. But whatever.
Glad Venus won and had just the one break of serve. I really want her to win this and for Serena to lose. Venus has never lost to anyone but her sister in a Wimby final and I hope that doesn't change.

These marathon matches always develop into melodrama. Mahut maybe massaging a stomach pull, Isner the Ent (love that) lumbering (no pun intended) and maybe nursing some cramps . . . the play almost becomes secondary.

I'm glad I went out after Roddick's match was over (when Isner/Mahut were at 14-all). That was two hours ago!
it's now 30-all

I don't think I've ever seen a tiebreak go to 30 points. Wow.
ETA: Sorry, I misspoke...er, mis-wrote, but you know what I mean. I've never seen 30 games before.
Thanks for keeping me honest, breezybee.

It's not a tiebreak. Those are games in the fifth set. There are no tiebreaks at Wimbledon in the final set.
