I had not heard that. Oh my.
This Venus dress is a little better--but only in comparison to the others. I cannot stand her love for bra straps. She does love underwear.

Huh, so judging from the scoreline I gather Vera played well? Maybe I'll have to watch the match and try and see what you all see in her. I've always just found her to be a sucky headcase who wins when the other player sucks worse, I don't think I've ever seen her actually play well! Granted I don't watch a lot of her matches cause I don't care at all about her, so I'm sure I missed something good along the way ... but damn I just have no interest in her! Plus, I don't know I just don't think she's a really legit GS winner - I mean Schiavone wasn't exactly either, but that was a wonderful "feel good" story whereas, Zvonoreva - who cares!!! (Yes I know a lot of you care, I'm speaking more generally)
I acknowledge how dull Caroline's game is, but I was still hoping(and expecting) her to win this one. Plus, she really has gotten more aggressive since last year, added more to her game. But basically it's all about the other semi for me: Venus-Kim. I like them both so so much I don't know who I want to win, but whoever it is better win the final! Hmm ... okay maybe Venuse since it's been rather a drought for her.

Vera played pretty well. I admit I didn't watch the whole thing but from what I saw she was doing good and Woz was making a few mistakes.

Yeah, Vera actually kept her wits about her and even looked happy. Wozzzzz, on the other hand, seemed perhaps overwhelmed by the pressure. Meh. If she hooks up with Isner, they'd have to have sex in their sleep, because their combined presence would suck all interest and energy from the room. IMO.

I like Vee's dress a lot, but not the white sneakers. Clijsters is utilitarian as usual, though the colors are very nice and Caribbean looking. Serena looks like a mannequin -- pretty, but not quite herself.

Kim and Kuzzy had the same outfit and I do like the blues it has. The outfit looks better on Kim though.
And yes Serena does look...kind of weird. But still so pretty.

I know this has probably been touched on but it irritates the hell out of me to hear them refer to Kim as the 2 time defending champion. She's not. Winning it in 2005 and not playing again until 2009 doesn't count. Also? I don't care that it's been 2000 days since she lost at the Open since that too is a falsely inflated stat.
That said, I was glad to see her pull it out today although I wouldn't have been disappointed in Venus winning either, I was just rooting a little bit more for Kim. I only was able to catch the last set and it was pretty entertaining and tense. Some nice shots from both players.
I will also be rooting for Bepa. She's hot, her coach is hot, and the craziness is entertaining. That's all I really need honestly.

What a bummer. I'm glad i missed most of that match, but I did get to see it from 3-1 in the third. That was enough of a rollercoaster for me. I'm glad I didn't see Vee lose that tiebreak. Oh well, I like Kim, so I guess it's okay. I'm not sure who to root for in the final
