I had to tell my best friend and brother to stop calling me. They started at that First Set - failed set point. I know - I KNOW - they are not responsible, but between them and NetJets - argh.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not above switching loyalties mid-match. Right now, although I still want Rafa to win, I'm starting to root for Fed to at least win a set.

Gah, that makes me nuts too - yes, Nadal is the bette- playe- now, but who has the bette- ove-all ca-ee- and stats? I think the whole GOAT thing is just a talking point. Now I'm definitely not saying Nadal couldn't end up as the GOAT, but not now, nope.
Give me 16 Slams, 24 consecutive Slam semi's, 48? consecutive Slam 1/4's, 10 consecutive Slam finals ... honestly the consecutive pa-t isn't going to happen, so just give me those in total, then absolutely. Not now, not yet.
ETA: oh, and because I'm such a wuss I didn't know Fed had a set point o- 5-2, and it's just as well - I'd lose my mind.

Maybe I found the antidote -- Roger seems to do better when I do my work. Makes sense, no??? I started my paper during the rain delay and worked at it a bit, then turned the volume back up. Just dove back to it and lo-and-behold -- the break back!

Someone needs to explain to John that white clouds don't bring the rain. That was hysterical--he gets all worked up about rain coming and they show the sky and it's bright blue with some fluffy white clouds up there.
Congrats Rafa. Hard fought. Very competitive. He scares the crap out of me.

I know, the moment he said that was probably the moment when the court looked the sunniest it has since the match started. The BF actually commented about how sunny it was not 30 seconds before he said that.
