The sisters Williams did it again..and on Venus' serve. So cool. Glad her play at net was heralded as well.
The tennis bags look too masculine but I could see them for men.

Thanks lt, I wouldn't have expected Charles to show up on ESPN since he only appears on TNT for the NBA playoffs, but great that he's there this weekend. Will set the recording for 8AM.
oops, I feel your pain! I imagine, as GSG suggests, that a local restaurant/diner should be showing the match. When I was on my way to work Friday a pizza place was showing the men's semis.

Just want to thank you guys for the heads up about the ABC coverage. My father is currently in a rehabilition facility for his foot so was bummed about ESPN getting all the Wimbledon coverage. ABC had been airing commercials about ESPN's coverage all week, hiding their own replay.

Yes, thanks for that tip about ABC as well as the advice about the morning coverage. I am resigned to the fact that I should not be in public watching these matches. So I will be streaming and toasting the new era all on my own!

Well it's 4am and I haven't been to bed yet - I won't be watching live. Not that I would anyway I don't think, my nerves won't stand it. I'm a bad fan, I get too, too upset and on edge if I don't know what's happened. Plus, in this case I don't know if the-e's a happy ending. I mean, I want Fed to win, no ambivalence, no shadow of a doubt, but gosh I will also feel bad fo- Andy if he loses yet anothe- Slam final, and especially this Slam! I think the best case would be a well fought match whe-e Fed was simply sublime, too good. A match noone could slag Andy off about, noone accuse him of not having it in him etc, just a case of well I played the GOAT on his best and most comfo-table su-face, and gee golly he played like the damn GOAT, what's a fella to do? I gave it a good shot, I made him ea-n it, but in the end ... He's Fed, this is Wimbledon, he''s that good. Ha, that's my d-eam final, so I don't expect it to actually happen. Not that I expect Fed to lose, o- Andy to go out in 3, I don't know what to expect, at all. God, I love tennis and I love Fed but one of these days they a-e going to kill me dead. Who me, nervous??
I absolutely cannot imagine how the families can stand it, watching live. I don't even know these people and I'm a wreck. Just let it be a good match and I'll deal with the outcome. Honest, I'll be happy fo- Andy if he can do it, at Wimbledon of all places - gutted, but happy fo- him. Please, please win Fed, in 4 would be excellent, in 5 if you have to. Like he needs my wishes to want it himself, kinda think he's got that cove-ed, no?
Shutting up, going to bed. See you all on the flip side!
And yay Se-ena, yay V&S, yay, and good on you Agi, so happy.

I like both guys but I am rooting very hard for Andy today. I think Feds will win though. But goodness- I hope 4th time is a charm.
Enjoyed the ESPN piece on Murray on Breakfast at Wimbledon- even though some of it is from an earlier segment shown in the tournament.
I think he is pointing to the sky for his classmates at Dunblane and the city itself that had to deal with the tradgey years ago. He never talks about it- but I do wonder if that horrible day has shaped part of his personality today.

I'm baaaaaaack! For a little while anyway...I'm on my annual pilgrimage to New England, and my brother-in-law tuned in to Wimbledon one morning -- what's a girl to do?
I haven't been following tennis much, but it was very nice to see Feds beat Djokovic. Serena's win didn't do much for me (it's Venus I like, and the people who pointed out how gorgeous she is looking lately -- hell yes!) but if it weren't for Serena, they might have to rename it the WTF Tour.
So here I am, working on an editing assignment and waiting for the men's final, hoping that Federer gets another title.
Missed you guys...

Tim Henman! I don't read the London tabloids online so I've been wondering what Tim was thinking. So gracious. I love him.
Speaking of (not) gracious: Turns out my satellite radio has Radio Wimbledon (I have no clue if they had it all tournament, I was just flipping stations in the car this morning and there it was) and they were interviewing Andy fans on Henman Hill (and no matter what happens, Henman Hill earned its name and shouldn't be changed). They interviewed the head of an Andy Murray fan site and she said Roger wasn't a role model because "he's arrogant and graceless." HHEEEEEE! How hard is it to like multiple players?
LeBron rooting for the other adopted son of Miami. That's sweet.
Stupid LZ made me have to fast forward through a Roger piece. That's just wrong.
Oh, and watching Breakfast at Wimbledon was made worthwhile simply by seeing Kate Middleton drive herself to the tournament.
Hey, they opened the roof back up. Even God wants to see this match. . .
No Sir Charles this morning. Darn. I would like to see him squished into those little Wimbledon seats so I'll keep an eye out.
"No villains in this drama." Amen, Chris Fowler.

I think it's tougher for the press to fathom that there are tennis fans who genuinely don't like Roger Federer - and not because they're Nadal fans. Someone who runs an Andy Murray fan site might not think highly of Federer for various reasons (Australian Open final springs immediately to my mind) and respect but dislike Nadal for being so good.

I had forgotten how annoying some of the commentators are. I mean, is Patrick McEnroe talking out his mouth or his ass? It's so hard to tell the difference.
Even after all my time away, I find that I still can't stand Murray. And I still don't give a flying fuck about England and tradition and all that horseshit.
