Lt- I always thought Murray was proud of being British - and a Scot- and that his dismissal of British support was a myth. I may be wrong there- but there some false theories on some EPL message boards and UK paper comments I frequent that Murray snubs his nose at being from Great Britain - when the opposite has been true. There are a decent number of English fans who dislike Murray because of these false perceptions that he always disses the English and snubs being a Brit. You would think he was heading the Scottish independence movement from some of the theories. I find it to be frustrating and fascinating at the same time.

My friend just texted me to ask if I wanted to play tennis right now. Are you crazy?

Heeeeeee. That's funny! All these multiple overheads that Andy keeps getting back. It's insane. As is the forehand (Murray)/backhand (Fed) rallies that we're getting. falafaclese, you're right about them pummeling each other--how can they keep it up?
oops, I'm stuffing myself instead of the cat. Not a good switch for her or me.
Hmmmm, Depeche Mode for a Dior commercial on ESPN? Finals at Wimbledon does bring in the sales bucks.
chesty, I said it was early in his career (not now) and it wasn't a myth. I remember the interviews with him.
eta: uh oh, we know how Roger feels about luck. . . But I agree with John, luck is going to be involved in a match of this magnitude. I don't agree with John about whether Tim and Pete want Andy or Roger (respectively) to win. I think both men were honest in that they want Andy/Roger (respectively) to win--I don't think either man gets all wrapped up in rooting against a compatriot/friend (respectively) because of their old careers.
Roger took off his back-warming undershirt. Well, this match would certainly have warmed it up on its own.
My goodness! The play when breaks/sets are on the line! Spectacular!

MAN! I currently look like the posterchild for ADHD. I have perhaps 20 windows open on my computer and am going back and forth to the living room where endurance masters are climbing peaks to my children's enjoyment. Cannot. Sit. Still.
PS: The Brit announcers totally have their dog in the match, but it's not annoying me. I guess it's official: I just can't stand JMac.

Lt- okay sorry. I was wrong- I thought that some of the stuff he said when he was younger was twisted and British press made it dramatic. But my memory is wrong as usual.
I will shut up about it now...lol.
Fun match but still hoping Andy can win. This is like the Ferrer match - high quality; like both guys but would be more gutted for Murray if he lost.

I hear you, oops. I'm passing up a slip-and-slide for this match. Better start working out or something to cut down on the stress.

It happened again! I was just warning Roger (in my head) that he better be quicker getting his bag because Gang Green (the English version) would run him over and then Chris Fowler paraphrased it. I watch waaaaaayyyyyy too much tennis. . .
hee, I went first thing this morning because I knew I'd be too drained to go after the match. tiki, darn, I have friends coming up from Georgia the week the White Sox are in Boston. Well, let me know if you have a layover in NYC--my office is a block from Grand Central (and if you came up you could see all the headless mannequins. . . .)

Well I'll call it now and say the match is Roger's, because I don't see Andy coming back from that. That game was something else. At least Andy got in a set and came out aggressive. That's what I've been wanting to see for ages.

Oh dear, Andy needs to not get frustrated and anxious.
They should have showed the people on Henman Hill during that ridiculous downpour. Did they keep their seats? Seek shelter?
skyz, this is where we'll see the Lendl influence. Hopefully his teachings have gotten into Andy's head and he'll get upbeat again.
As this match goes on I'm getting more and more conflicted. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WANT TO HAPPEN! This is so confusing for me.
(Although I can say that the cat is glaring at me. She was comfortably sleeping on my lap during that crazy game but I couldn't sit still by the end of it and she jumped down. Now she's on a chair giving me the evil eye.)
