I feel personally offended as a human being that Tipsy is going to be in the quarters. C'mon Philipp! Try HARDER!!!!! Move those little feet. . . . (the people at that match are so lucky that I'm not there--I would totally be telling everyone all the horrifying things that Tipsy has said.)
And meanwhile, Nadia and Maria--get it together!
btw: in case anyone was wondering why the Wilson players wear the Breast Cancer Awareness wristbands. I googled it and it turns out that Wilson makes all the Breast Cancer Awareness stuff for sports so I guess it comes with their stuff. Good for them!
Wow, Kohlshreiber lost, Max is losing, Stan isn't putting up any kind of fight. . . if this means Andy or Roger is losing today I'm gonna cry.

I was rooting for Marion because it'd be nice to see her in a semi-final again. Hell, I'd love for her to win a major, the French, where she can rub in the French federation's face.
Del Po is Eeyore-ing it up right now.
I like Wilson's outfits for the Open.

. . . and Maria and Nadia just lost in a third-set tiebreak. Today is not going my way at all. I'm getting very nervous.

It truly isn't a major until Andy Murray has a match in which his opponent ends up looking like a headcase. I just never thought I'd see that kind of meltdown from Marin Cilic.

Speaking of meltdowns, Ana is chasing her service tosses all the way over to the Bronx right now in her match against Serena. It's a little uncomfortable to watch, but clearly Serena has rattled her fairly profoundly.
Serena is starting to look ominous again . . .

Is it just me, or does Venus look a little cozy with that guy she's sitting next to in Serena's box?

Wish I'd seen the guy Venus was cuddly with.
I'm so nervous for Roger!! He's hitting so many shanks. Come on, ROG!!!

I'm conflicted. I like Tomas and it would be nice to see him get to the semis, but then it's Roger and it'd be equally nice to see him get there as well. Roger started out so sharp, too. I want a competitive match tonight.

Ve-ery nice, Venus. Although he's a bit mature for the backwards cap IMHO.
Feeling so bummed about Roger. I guess I'm just as greedy as he is.

That guy looks familiar.
Roger looks like he hasn't played in four days--oh wait. . . Walkovers can really suck in a major. He should have played an match against someone.
I'll be happy for Tomas but I'd still prefer Roger. Thank goodness Murray turned it around or I'd be distraught right now.

Well I'm a bit disappointed, but not shocked. I always fear this matchup, I mean Olympics and a Wimbledon QF he beat Fed. Anyway though, I'm not actually that upset. Once Fed won Wimbledon (AND got back to #1!) 2012 went into the win column for me. Yeah I'm totally greedy in what I want, but not so much in what I expect lately. Still sucks that it's not even looking like a good competitive match.
Doesn't look at all like it will be Fed, so I want DelPo, and if I can't have him I'll take Tomas. Djok and AndyM have awesome games, but just don't float my boat. Fine if they win, but I can't get excited.
ETA: Eeeee! Well, you go My Guy! I was like, all done, and hey I should know things can change -- at least for now. I'll take it.

Heeeeeeee. So I wanted to see if there was news on this new guy for Venus and this is what I found. While I'm willing to go with a lot of what they said, I'm not sure I'm going to believe she told some random media guy that she's "an octopus in bed." But, forgetting all that--an Italian business guy. So I guess he doesn't really look familiar to me. J'adore how international Serena and Venus are; Serena has a place in Paris and now speaks fluent French and Venus is dating an Italian. Very romance language of both of them and I approve. Don't be clapping for faults, New York crowd. I know you're all as stressed as I am but control yourselves! eta: That's the second time this tournament that someone has hit Carlos Ramos. Who would want to hit that adorable man?

Yeah, I don't go with applauding faults and most especially DF's when that happens. Don't they know it's Not Done? Hmph.
