So moon, you're saying it'a uour fault that Haas lost...
I'm on the wrong side of the net for Feli shirt changes but I am im the first row so maybe I can get him through the net.
Btw: packed court

I find Ana I's rather extreme thinness upsetting to see. She just looks so much frailer than the more filled-out, powerful looking player of a few years ago. That said, I can't tell if there's any lessening of shot-making power, and hopefully she feels like a better player at the new weight. For some reason she doesn't strike me as the type to make a change like that for the usual reason young women want to be super thin.

I cannot believe Feli is about to be the 10th guy to be up two sets to none and lose. . . He better be the one to break this streak.

Dammit Tsonga, get it together.

lt - Maybe I am to blame... but I should also tell you that I picked Gulbis to win that match (yes, I did question my sanity about that pick once Tommy broke in the 3rd) so my shock was because I was so happy he did it.

I still can't believe Feli won--he was down a break in the fifth and was getting mighty irritated with himself. I decided I couldn't handle any mire Spanish drama or huge crowds (you should see the lines to get into Raonic/Mathieu!) so I'm happily sitting on a quiet court 8 watching Ebden/Chardy. Haven't spotted Rafter yet.
I hope I didn't jinx Davydenko with my hopes for Feli not blowing his 2set lead. And I'm really unhappy about Tsonga--although I'm glad I missed it.

So bummed about JWT. WTF JWT!?
And OMG, have you guys seen Shvedova's outfit? She's wearing a white dress with a bright pink sports bra underneath, and as she's sweating it looks as though the dress was designed with bright pink circles right over the boobs. Oh, dear.

That should definitely be made into a t-shirt.

Ooohhhhh, controversy in the Fer/Albert match. A line judge gestured that a ball was out in the third-set tiebreak but the chair ump, Carlos Ramos, didn't see her and he called the ball in. Albert asked the line judge if she had gestired out and out-and-out lied! I totally saw her do it and she kept telling Albert she hadn't. Liar, liar, pants on fire.
falafaclese, there is a ball girl here who totally looks like Colette but without the glasses--so a Colette without the omph.

Hmm, I'll have to keep my eyes open for her. Maybe that's Colette's less interesting sister.

Yay, James!! An impressive win over Granollers. But gotta shave the neck, James. (Why am I obsessing over everyone's looks this Open?)
So happy for Sloane too. Although I already am loathing the heavy-handed ESPN pulverizing of the Sloane-Serena BFF story. Take a nice story and just turn it into poison by hyping it to death, why don't you, ESPN. Thanks.

Hold onto your hat, because they have also started a Varvara-Venus story now that apparently they became friendly at the Olympics and Varvara is wearing Eleven. Again, nice story, and they haven't beaten it to death yet, but it's early. We'll see where that goes.

I don't think any story is going to be beaten into the ground except for the Roddick one now.
With Feli playing Murray and Fer playing Roger and with Mardy probably playing the night match I must admit that I checked for tickets for Saturday's day session. But I only want a good seat and since those tickets are starting in the $600 range I think I'll be watching from home. . .
I was watching a doubles match and I heard a most distinctive scream/grunt from somewhere behind me. All around me people started looking around trying to figure out where Azarenka had to be. But it wasn't her! It was either Olga Govortsova or Johanna Konta. I didn't look to see which, I was just so unhappy that that noise is catching. . .
Oh, and I was so excited to get into my car and drive home listening to the Roger/Bjorn match but I forgot that college football kicked off today and of course football trumps all else so no tennis for me.

I don't think any story is going to be beaten into the ground except for the Roddick one now. I just saw it when I checked the US Open app on my phone. I was kind of surprised that it happened so suddenly in the middle of a major, but with all his injuries and the choppy season he's had I shouldn't be completely surprised.
