Ted Robinson is already bugging. That at least gives me one reason not to be upset that I don't get TTC. Ted always bugs me. Same with Enberg. For those who get ESPN 360, they have multiple court coverage online. I'm very excited as I am off tomorrow but there will be no regular ESPN coverage. It's also nice because you can "rewind" it and see all of the day's coverage on each court. At least I'll get to see more tennis than I originally thought.

Wow, I had zero idea this started today. Good luck to everyone in the pools!

Well, there you go. My pool lasted all of one day before being shot to hell. I knew Vaidisova was in a rut but thought she might turn it around here at her best Slam and had her going all the way to the quarters. And I put Carlos going reasonably deep too.

Great match between Canas and Odesnik. You know it mus be high quality when Canas' winner/UE differential is somewhere in the neighborhood of +12 and Odesnik still wins.

Sorry to see Baghdatis gone. He always seems so jolly. I remember...maybe last year's US Open? Marcos had a cut on his hand. Trainer came over to treat it. He sprayed something in the cut, mercurichrome or merthiolate probably. Marcos was all jumpy and bouncing in his seat saying "Ow ow ow ow ow" while the trainer blew on it. It reminded me of every knee scrape when I was a little girl and my mother PROMISING me it wouldn't burn, then ineffectively blowing on the scrape when it did.
What is going with Venus out there? Hmmm? Come on, Vee.
PS. Admin, can we get ride of that noisy Tennis Channel ad at the top of the screen? Or does someone brilliant know how to make it silent?

... And Ree-shard Gasquet has withdrawn with a "knee injury." Which seems odd, since there's no part of the brain called the "knee."
Coria acquitted himself pretty well against Robredo, so I hope an encouraging result like this allows him to start a full-fledged comeback.

Phew. I was worried about Querrey this morning.
Anyone notice that the photos of Mars in this morning's NYT look like the Terre Battue?

How frustrating to have the day off, no other plans and it's a rain delay. Suck. I'm rewatching Venus and listening to Eli and Araz on Radio Roland Garros. They are just babbling on during the rain delay. If I'm calling a tennis match, I want to do it with those guys.

I don't think I've seen this mentioned, but tennischannel.com is offering live streams from four courts. It may be restricted to when TTC is actually broadcasting, but I'm pretty sure it's free.
And I don't think anyone has mentioned the REALLY BIG NEWS from Sunday at RG: James Blake is now wearing a shirt with sleeves. I'm of the strong opinion that the only guy who pulls that look off is Rafa. And I'd like to pull it off him, if you know what I mean [/Groucho Marx]

I agree, harry. I thought James looked the best I've ever seen him yesterday.
Also a big fan of Serena's outfit - I even really liked the belt! (Though I read that earlier post in exactly the same way that tiki had and was expecting a sarong!) Outfits like that one really draw the eye to her lovely features, such as her waist.
Didn't get to see Venus's -- any feelings about it??

It was nice to see a bit of Coria today. He was still doing some of those great angles and thinking several steps ahead. No he didn't win and his serve went off the rails, but it sounds like the serve issues may have been because of his shoulder and not his brain since he hasn't played four sets in a while.
I read his post match interview and it was pretty good. He seems to be at peace with himself (finally) and I hope he continues to make strides.

I saw it and I don't love it. I've liked most of the stuff I've seen from her line, but today she had on a white polo with thick blue and green stripes down the sides. That wasn't bad, but then she had a matching blue skirt that looked very heavy, and too traditional and kind of matronly compared to the shirt. Also the shape of the skirt wasn't the most flattering. Her game wasn't the best today either. She had a Blake-esque lapse during the second set. I hope she pulls it together, and particularly, I hope she increases her net approaches because it was very effective when she remembered to do it today.
Fed, on the other hand, looked pretty sharp today. Querrey definitely didn't lie down, but Fed was moving well and striking the ball well at least when I was watching.

Regarding Venus's outfit. I'm with falafaclese. The shirt isn't bad but the skirt with hideous. Venus is the skinny sister, but that skirt made her butt look enormous. It would be better with a tighter fit and less pleats. Maybe a trim unpleated skirt with a front panel that has slits at both thighs. I'm not describing what I mean well. Sorry.
I hate to say it, but I prefer the bubble skirt to that thing Venus was wearing today.

With so little tennis I'll join the fashion police and declare Vee's skirt a disaster. She's so long and lean and that skirt makes her look anything but. Loved Roger's colors.
Bethany Mattek is playing Madison Brengle so we might get a chance to see whatever abomination she puts together not once but twice.
And I feel both old and perverted b/c Esseryrich (sp?) is both yummy and barely legal. Let's hope he escapes the French headcase syndrome so that I get to see a lot more of him!
And speaking of seeing a lot more of someone (how smooth was that segue ::)Ashley Harkleroad will be playboy's first tennis pro. Her interview on TTC No Strings or Open Access proved that she is both sweet and dim!

My excitement of seeing Stan/Kohli scheduled to play first match on tomorrow (i.e. I can see it before work) was greatly mitigated when I saw where it was scheduled: Court 7??? Do they even broadcast matches from there?! What a waste...
