Well, I am a little annoyed at the linesperson, but I'm hating on Serena for being a total whiny baby about the foot fault. She should have just let it go and served it out. By not doing that, she screwed Kim for the win, and it makes me lose a lot of respect for her. This is coming from a huge Serena/Venus fan. I've been watching tennis for 10 years and I have never seen such a disgusting display. Ah! You missed the McEnroe years then... |

Right now, I'm hating on SportsCenter (and I assume alot of the other sports media) for making the story all about Serena, with only the briefest mentions of Kim. As for Wozzy, it's pretty clear that ESPN has never heard of her.

I did not miss the McEnroe day's, the worst days of American tennis and the only time I stopped watching tennis and for some reason I still have to listen to that idiot when I turn on tennis on any channel. In 30 years of watching I have not seen any player get more bad calls or treatment than the Sisters. I am surprised that they have not gone off long before this. Can anyone forget the bump or that we finally have electronic line calling because of Serena vs Jennifer. I would not defend what Serena did in any form or fashion but perhaps this was the "straw" after 10 years. American tennis is the Williams Sisters, Melanie is not ready yet and Andy and James are dropping fast. I think we may be seeing the last of Venus this year with Serena very close behind. Rafa is out (yay) go Roger! |

I really shouldn't be bitching out other sites but jesus.. some of the people on the WTA World are really fucking stupid. *sighs*
That's all the hate i can muster for the day, the late semi last night is killing me, i may not be awake for the final.
Oh wait. I take it back, i can muster a tad more haterade. Greg Rusedski is the worst pundit/commentator in the world. STFU Greg.

OMG, me too! Straight Sets, the tennis blog/column of the NY Times is full of ridiculous comments. Though I will say that for every one of those someone calmly refutes it, so there are also decent people there. But damn, the internet can be a depressing place. Thinly veiled racism, coded racist statements(against both Serena and the line judge), and the reverse where everyone in the world is anti-Serena only because she is black ... Sheesh.
