Random thoughts:
From yesterday: like harry it is has always made me sad how chilly the French crowd is to Rafa. But it seems like it will never change. They were a bit warmer to him last year than they had been in years past- I think because he had had some difficult times in the year preceeding and had ya know...lost. But I think the best that will happen is for them to be not hostile....oh well.
So looks like the Nole/Delpo match will come to pass. Delpo said that he and Nole are good friends. When did that happen? About the time he got real chummy with Mardy Fish? Delpo is shy and sweet and furry in his interviews...sigh.
Bethanie Mattek-Sands is now the number two ranked US gal. Well done! Steve Tignor picked her to be a suprise semifinalist and I would love to see tha that happen.
Hey - Team Ponytail won today and beat a seeded team. Would not mind an IW repeat.

I have not had a chance to see a lot of the matches yet but I did see a bit of Delpo and I was very impressed.
I think that is going to be some match in the next round. I'll leave it at that...

What's weird is that they are still in the draw. They don't have a match scheduled, but they're still listed. (eta: hours and hours later and they are now out of the draw. Oh well.) Oh look, Fer chatting with the chair ump again. And he's up two sets. This is not a pattern I'm enjoying. And why isn't Court 1 a choice on TTC live stream? Macatee interviewed Djokovic yesterday. I loved the look on Novak's face when Macatee asked if his private life affected his play. Djoker made it very clear that there had been issues in his private life that he needed to resolve. Now I'm all curious. Turns out the French Open app has Radio Roland Garros. Made my commute in very pleasant this morning. However, I think I'm a walking billboard for tennis--wearing a US Open polo, carrying my Wimbledon backpack and listening to the French Open. I feel bad for the Aussie Open. I need something from there. eta: I completely forgive TTC for the no Court 1 feed because I'm getting court 7 for Max/Daniel vs. Monfils/Ouanna. Doubles! So excited right now.

Garcia is taking it to Maria right now. If she can hold her nerves then she's got this! She's been playing pretty sweet. Wow.

How is Nadal down 4-1 in the 3rd? What's wrong with him? Is he sick? I haven't been watching his match. I thought it would be a cakewalk for him.

Darn, Garcia let Maria back in to take the second set.
Not sure what's up with Rafa -- I'm just tuning in now via LifeScoreHunter.
Too bad Kim is out, I was pulling for her.

What happened to all the streams? TTC just stopped dead and when I went to Live Score Hunter they are only offering live scores.
Not happy about Kim--I wanted to see more of that short haircut.

TTC ended its coverage at 12 so I think the streams ended too. Too bad for Garcia but she played great for a set and ought to be proud of herself.

After that I now think Maria will take it all. Didn't get to see it, but all the reports say it was incredible to watch.

Livescorehunter still has streams. I believe they are all Eurosport which is the coverage we are receiving here in Canada. I would love to know the name of the commentator with the heavy French accent. He is hilarious.

I was watching the Sharapova match and, I must say, Caroline came out ablazing. Maria was confused and that's where the unforced errors came from. At 4-1 (two breaks) in the second, it was more that Maria began to figure what to do, not Caroline blowing the moment. Martina was calling the match and was very very impressed with her. So was I. So was Andy Murray, who tweeted during the match that she's a future #1 (although he got called out by Laura Robson for jinxing her, which is quite funny).
acre - Pablo Andujar was basically doing his best Paolo Lorenzi impression. Pablo was up 5-1 in the third set, which nobody noticed because of the Caroline Garcia show.

"Andujar" is one of those great, swashbuckling Spanish names. I always thought the pitcher Joachim Andujar had one of the great baseball names ever.
What is wrong with Rafa? As much as I'm protective of my darling Roger's records, I don't like seeing Rafa look so shaky.

What a gritty, uneven performance from Rafa today. I thought that 3rd set was gone; incredible comeback. I don't like seeing him have to fight so hard in these early rounds. It doesn't bode well.

www.rolandgarros.comps> You actually can search "Fench Open" and get to the right place. I tried! ETA: I'm thinking that, as much as I'm looking forward to it, Delpo/Djoker is not going to be that much of a nailbiter. Delpo's never beaten Djoker, and that was before Djoker somehow got bombarded by gamma rays and morphed into his current incarnation. Of course Canas was the one to put an end to Fed's streak a few years ago, and nobody saw that coming, so who knows?
